Harry Kane Bayern Contract is likely to be up for discussion this week or next as the England captain gets ready to discuss his next contract with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich as he plans to push to extend his tenure with the club beyond his 2027 expiration.
The development was confirmed by Kane during a media day in Munich, stating that negotiations have been suspended after his World Cup break. Both Kane and Bayern are reportedly calm about the situation at this stage as their four-year deal is about to expire, but they are understanding that talks should be kicked off soon.
He was 33 when he signed for Bayern in 2023, and has been one of the club’s most prolific players since he made his debut. He has made 147 appearances and scored 146 goals in all competitions for Bayern, and helped him secure two Bundesliga championships and a German cup victory.
Bayern have been keen to retain Kane at the club on more than one occasion. The German giants had already suggested he was their “best transfer ever”, after such a stellar performance in last season’s league campaign. According to German media reports, he may be kept on until at least 2029 with a possible new deal.
Kane has also become linked with the Ballon d’Or race in the future. Germany’s football legend Lothar Matthaeus has also been backing his preferred choice for the coveted individual honour, which will be awarded in October: the England captain.
Kane netted in 51 appearances last season, including 61 goals to reaffirm his status as one of the top forwards in Europe. Matthaeus believes Kane was well rewarded for his “consistently outstanding performances throughout the campaign.”
