Mbappe’s dream dinner choices have revealed a more personal side of the Real Madrid forward, with Cristiano Ronaldo topping a remarkable guest list featuring some of the world’s biggest sporting and entertainment icons. The France international has said his ideal dinner guests would be the four celebrities he’d invite: Ronaldo, basketball great Michael Jordan, tennis powerhouse Serena Williams and international music star Rihanna.
This came from an interview with The Athletic, which was not just about football but about the people who have shaped him throughout his life and career. The inclusion of Ronaldo is significant in particular. The French star, who hails from the same country that Cristiano Ronaldo did, has made no secret of his admiration for the Portuguese icon, being a fan long before becoming one himself.
Their relationship has since gone beyond admiration, with Mbappé calling Ronaldo a friend and someone he looks up to and turns to for advice and support. Also, the Real Madrid striker mentioned Jordan as a big inspiration. The former La Liga star has already had the chance to meet the NBA legend and stated that he would love to meet him again and talk about his amazing career.
Jordan’s impact is more than just on the court; he is a prime example of a sports icon who has discussed the importance of learning from great athletes. Rihanna rounded out Mbappé’s unique dinner cast, as did globally famous sporting star Serena Williams.
The interview follows the 2026 World Cup where Mbappé is embarking on a new phase with Zinedine Zidane’s France. France will not be capable of finishing fourth at the tournament before entering the era of the new manager, post-Didier Deschamps.
